Preferences - Startup

 Preferences menu item    You get to the Preferences dialogue by clicking on the Options menu and then selecting the Preferences menu item.  You can also press CTRL + T.

Check that the next home talk exchange has been confirmed with the speaker or coordinator
 When this option is on, the program will examine the next arranged home talk entry and check to see if you have not confirmed the exchange with the speaker or coordinator.  If this happens, you are informed via a popup dialogue: 

As you can see, the popup dialogue provides you with all the available information about the next home talk. This makes it very easy to confirm the exchange. If required, use the hyperlinks (if you have set them up on the Congregations maintenance page). This dialogue will keep displaying when the program starts until you click Yes or the date has passed.  This option is off by default.

Include local speakers during this check
 Generally you don't need to contact a local speaker to confirm an exchange as you would have seen them at the meeting.  However, for flexibility, this option has been included to allow you to do so if desired.  The main option must be set for this one to be enabled.  This option is off by default.

Note:  The program will not give any warning for special events like Circuit Assemblies because under normal circumstances the speaker is left empty.

Check for unassigned home talk numbers (ie: 1000)

When this option is on, the program will examine the next 1 (to 4) arranged home talks for talk number 1000.  This talk number is reserved for To be Arranged.  This option is off by default.

As you can see, it copies the information to the clipboard.  This is useful if you want to paste the details into a text editor.

Number of meetings to check in advance
 You can set the number of meetings that it will check in advance by using the dropdown combo list.  You can select from 1 to 4 meetings.  This option is disabled by default.

Note: You can also click the Check toolbar item to manually run these tests aswell.

Show startup panel when program starts
 Select this option to display the Start-up Panel when the program starts.  This setting is on by default.
