I am pleased to announce that there is a new version of Visits Rota available.
What’s New
Here are a couple of improvements:
- The installer now looks and feels the same as all the other installers on this website.
- Significantly, it supports the new WebView2 browser control!
Why use WebView2?
This is a brand new web browser control (based on Microsoft Edge). The previous one was based on Internet Explorer 7. In addition, it has some inbuilt features that we can use. For example, the Print Preview window has a Save as PDF option in the drop-down list.
In also means that we can now offer to directly save the report to PDF:
The WebView2 Runtime will be downloaded and installed automatically. Thereafter the operating system will keep it up to date for you. The runtime is built-in to Windows 11 anyway.
