I am pleased to announce that there is a new version of Public Talks now available.
This version addresses a critical bug that was introduced in version 22.0.1. The installer was not registering the PTSTools DLL utility correctly with the operating system, and it was preventing the software from starting. This is has now been resolved and I am sorry for any inconvenience cause.
Microsoft Access Runtimes
It can get a bit confusing, but Public Talks requires Microsoft Access 2010 (or Microsoft Access 2010 Runtime) as a minimum. Otherwise you will see a popup message telling you to install the runtime (even if you have Microsoft Access installed; i.e. version 2007).
Supported Operating Systems
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
Deprecated Operating Systems
These operating systems are no longer supported:
- Windows 7 (Service Pack 1)
- Windows 8.1
You can still download the last supported version of Public Talks (which was 23.0.1) from here. But this version is no longer maintained. You are encouraged to use version 23.0.2 or higher.
You can also upgrade by using the Check for Update feature from the Help menu (if you have not been a beta tester).
