I am pleased to announce that there is a new version of Meeting Schedule Assistant now available.
I would like to thank our brother for coming forward to provide a partial translation in Cebuano.
At this time there is no monthly data being provided in this language.
There have also been a couple of translation changes for:
You may recall that I recently removed support for the legacy Workbook templates. Maybe brothers have been writing to me saying that they want that old schedule back.
Allow me to first explain the reasons for dropping support for that schedule:
- The underlying script is very complex and hard to maintain. I had written it whilst learning about XML/XSL translations. As a result it is hard to customise.
- The legacy schedule was displaying all meeting item duration as “x min.” which is now inaccurate since some items are actually “x min. or less“.
- The S-140 template is consistent and familiar to publishers in many congregations.
That said, there is no reason why the existing Workbook-S-140 template can’t be adjusted to have a similar look and feel (to a certain extent). So over the coming weeks I will try to look at this for you.
We had 147 at our Memorial using Zoom Conferencing. How many did you have at yours? Do you have any nice experiences? I have been sent some already!
Please stay safe during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
I have put together a simple tutorial that covers some of the frequent issues that brothers and sisters have had using Zoom. The tutorial is designed with large text so that it is easier for our elderly to read. I tried to keep it a simple!
Our Italian translator kindly offered to translate it into Italian so you will find both available on the above link in PDF format.
